Welcome to the plant mitochondrial dynamics website. My aim, and that of my research students at the University of Saskatchewan (where I was until September 2012), is to discover the mechanisms underpinning mitochondrial dynamics and the interactions of mitochondria with other organelles. Our hope is to learn more about the roles of these processes in regulating mitochondrial and cell health. We use plant molecular cell biology and live-cell imaging using a variety of fluorescent probes to try to understand physiological events at the level of individual mitochondria.


I will continue research into mitochondrial dynamics in my new position in the Institut de Recherche en Horticulture et Semences but will also contribute to shared areas of research as a member of the MitoStress team within the institute.
